Dr Paris is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Mater Dei Hospital, Malta (appointed November 1999) where he regularly works in the fields of Paediatric, Neuro, Vascular and ENT surgery. He also has a special interest in Anaesthesia and Sedation for Dental surgery and has published papers on the topic. He is also Honorary Senior Lecturer in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at the University of Malta, and is a member of the Anaesthesia Training Committee. Dr Paris was trained in Medicine in King’s College Hospital, London, specialized in Anaesthesia at Guy’s and The Royal London Hospitals in London, and subspecialized in Paediatric Anaesthesia at The Royal Liverpool Children’s Hospital, Alder Hey. His hobbies include photography, fishing, classic cars and breeding Yorkshire canaries. |

Dr Zerafa is a consultant Anaesthetist at Mater Dei Hospital, Malta (in post since November 1998) and besides a special interest in Sedation for Dental procedures, works mainly in the fields of Paediatric and Cardio-thoracic anaesthesia. He is also Honorary Senior Lecturer in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at the University of Malta. He has previously held the posts of registrar, senior registrar and specialist registrar in anaesthesia and intensive care in various hospitals in Malta and across the UK, including a year at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. He is also a European Resuscitation Council and UKRC certified Basic Life Support /AED Instructors’ Instructor, Paediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor and European Trauma Course Instructor. He is currently Vice-Chairperson of the first Malta Resuscitation Council (previously its founding President). His hobbies include table-tennis and general knowledge quizzes. |

Consultant anaesthetist at Mater Dei Hospital in Malta. Edward graduated as medical doctor from the University of Malta in 1992. He was trained in anaesthesia in Malta, Sheffield and Coventry/East Birmingham. After completing his specialist training in the UK in 2002, Edward held the post of consultant anaesthetist (cardiothoracic) at The University Hospitals in Coventry and at Warwickshire NHS Trust before returning to Malta in 2003. Areas of specialization include dental sedation, cardiothoracic surgery and orthopaedic surgery. Edward is married and has 2 children. His hobbies are sailing and diving. |

Kevin is a Consultant anaesthetist. He graduated as medical doctor at the University of Malta in 1991. He then travelled to the U.K. to take up his post graduate training. Kevin returned to Malta 2002, where he has since held a post as consultant. His areas of specialization are orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology and dental sedation. Kevin is married with two children. Hobbies include tennis, squash and music. |
