Dr. Tim Vella Briffa

Tim graduated as a dental surgeon from the Univ. of Malta in 2008 and joined the Dental and Implantology Unit on a full-time basis. Besides working as a general dental practitioner he spent many sessions working alongside Mark, developing his interest in Oral Surgery and Dental Implantology. In 2011 he was awarded the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MJDF RCS) two years later moved to London working in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Alongside his work in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Tim also further specialised in the field of Dental Implantology by successfully completing a 3-year MSc at the University of Bristol. Tim recently returned to Malta as a Registrar for Specialist Training in Oral Surgery at Mater Dei Hospital, successfully completing this programme in 2022. He is now a registered Specialist in Oral Surgery with plans to eventually take up a post as a Consultant . He rejoined the practice here at the Dental and Implantology Unit on a part-time basis. Tim is a musician having spent most of his teenage years and his twenties playing the electric guitar and the bass guitar with a number of popular local rock bands. He enjoys travelling, cooking and spending time with his ever-growing family.
