Tooth coloured fillings

When a tooth is decayed, the diseased dental tissue is removed and a filling is placed to restore the normal tooth anatomy. The treatment is done under local anaesthesia. Tooth-coloured composite resin is used to repair teeth, filling holes or changing the shape and colour of teeth. It is often used to close unwanted gaps between teeth or to bring tooth into arch alignment. A white filling takes between 30 to 60 minutes to complete and can make your tooth look totally natural again.

I recently completed a full mouth of crowns and veneers at the Dental and Implantology Unit at St James Hospital in Sliema. I can honestly say it is one of the best decisions I've ever made. For years, my teeth have been worn out and I found myself reluctant to smile in public. It really took a toll on my confidence. From the moment I walked into the clinic, I felt at ease. Dr Susanna and Dr Mark Diacono are not only incredibly skilled professionals but also warm, patient and genuinely caring. They took the time to understand my concerns, explained every step of the process clearly and helped me feel fully confident moving forward. The entire experience from consultation to the final fitting was smooth, comfortable and surprisingly enjoyable. The attention to detail with Digital Smile Design, the precision and care they put into crafting my crowns and veneers was truly impressive. Now I can't stop smiling. My new teeth look completely natural, and I finally feel proud to show off my smile. I have received so many compliments, and it is amazing how much of a difference it has made to my daily life. If you are considering cosmetic dental work, I wholeheartedly recommend the Dental and Implantology Unit at St James Hospital in Sliema. Dr Susanna and Dr Mark Diacono have given me more than a new smile, they have given me a new sense of confidence. Thank you so much. CH September 2025.
