Fixed and removable braces

Braces come in all shapes and sizes depending on what type of correction the dentition needs. The majority of cases are managed with fixed braces, many patients opt to have tooth coloured ceramic components and a thin wire strip used to move teeth into the correct place. The more adventurous may choose brightly coloured components to show off their braces! Minor treatments can be managed with removable braces. Each patient's needs are different and the orthodontist will discuss all options open to you. Nowadays it is very common for adults to seek orthodontic treatment, mainly to provide minor corrections prior to cosmetic or implant work.

Invisible braces

Invisible braces refer to an orthodontic option where a person wears customised removable transparent trays that help to straighten the teeth without the need of ceramic or metal braces. Our registered specialist in orthodontics will explain all treatment options open to you. This treatment involves preparing conventional or digital models and using CADCAM technology to plan the movement of all the teeth using a sequence of transparent trays.
